Spider-Man: Homecoming: Is This Our First Look At Iron Man's New Armor?

Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as Tony Star in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Hasbro's line of Marvel Legends figures may have just given fans their first look at Stark's latest iteration of the Iron Man Armor.

Hasbro's Marvel Legends Spider-Man: Homecoming 6″ Scale Figures lines includes a Spider-Man Web Wings Suit figure, a Spider-Man Homemade Suit figure, and a Spider-Man and Iron 2-Pack. Each pack contains one piece necessary to complete the Vulture with Flight Gear Build-A-Figure.

The Iron Man figure included in the 2-pack is of special interest because it shows a drastically different design for the Iron Man armor. Each version of the Iron Man armor seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to have taken inspiration from the red and gold Iron Man armor of the modern Marvel Comics Universe.

This Iron Man action reveals an iron man armor that seems to have much more in common with the Iron Man armor of the Ultimate Marvel Universe, which has accents of red and gold but is mostly a silver-gray.

Some fans may speculate that this is actually an action figure based on the Ultimate Iron Man armor and not whatever armor Iron Man may wear in Spider-Man: Homecoming. After all, the Captain America: Civil War Marvel Legends line and the Doctor Strange Marvel Legends line did include several characters not featured in either film. However, this armor is different enough from the actual Ultimate Iron Man for that to seem unlikely – the breastplate and helmet are of significantly different shapes – and the fact that the Iron Man figure is packaged together with a Spider-Man figure that is definitely based on the Spider-Man: Homecoming appearance would seem to confirm that it is indeed a recreation of the Iron Man in the film.
