Stan Lee Cameo In Marvel's The Defenders Spotted

It's a truth you can't deny: Marvel has got a very strong game when it comes to cameos. In the studio's cinematic universe, there have been dozens of appearances by one geek icon who fans have come to love. Stan Lee, the honorary head of all things comics, has had small cameos in every Marvel films and TV series for years now. So, naturally, the man has no plans to stop his streak. In a recent Reddit post, Internet sleuths were able to suss out Lee's cameo in Marvel's The Defenders, and it's a familiar one.

In the Reddit embed below, you can see the photo in question which features two well-known faces. Jessica Jones can be seen wearing his signature black leather jacket and loose locks while a picture of a uniformed Stan Lee hangs behind the heroine. The officer's photo is being used for a NYPD public service announcement that seems to tease that heroes in the state tend to don capes. Well, not all of them.

Of course, this is not the first time fans have seen Lee dressed up as the cameo figure. In fact, the comic icon has used this same persona throughout Netflix's Marvel projects.

In Daredevil, the blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo was seen halfway through the first season's finale. Fans can see a picture of Stan Lee hanging on the wall of the Hell's Kitchen Police Precinct. The very same picture also appears in Jessica Jones. And, in Luke Cage, Lee was seen on yet another NYPD poster which asked citizens to report crimes as they saw them.

For Marvel's cable programs, Lee adopted different characters. He appeared in Agents of SHIELD as a wealthy elderly man who was bookended by two very pretty ladies. And, in Agent Carter, the comic creator cameos in "The Blitzkrieg Button." He plays a shoe-shine customer who asks Howard Stark if he could borrow the the sports section of his newspaper.

Finn Jones will debut as Danny Rand in Marvel's Iron First, coming to Netflix in March 2017. Marvel's The Defenders will debut on Netflix later in 2017.
