With Spider-Man: Homecoming not too far off in the distance, Spider-Man star Tom Holland is making an appearance on this mont's cover of Empire. If you happen to subscribe though, you'll get an even bigger surprise from a renowned Marvel artist.

That is none other than Alan Davis, who has had quite the career drawing everyone from the X-Men and Excalibur to the Justice League, Spider-Man, and the Fantastic Four. Empire commissioned an exclusive piece from Davis to be this month's limited edition cover, and it will only come to subscribers. The art was inked by Mark Farmer, who has worked with Davis frequently throughout his time at Marvel. Spider-Man can be seen with the New York skyline behind him, upside down as Spidey moves from web to web, and the piece is all in black and white.

The issue should be hitting mailboxes now, and you can see the exclusive cover in the gallery. The issue will have plenty of Homecoming inside as well, and you can find the official synopsis for the film below.

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

The cast includes Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr. It also includes Jon Favreau, Martin Starr, Kenneth Choi, Michael Mando, Selenis Leyva, Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg, Jr., JJ Totah, and Hannibal Buress.
