Hydra has been once of the central evils of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It seems to be gone now, but can you ever really be sure?

MCU Exchange has put together a supercut looking at the entire lifespan of Hydra in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The video begins at the beginning when the Kree came to earth and created the Inhumans. Hive was the deadliest among them and so he was banished to Maveth and Hydra was founded to bring him home.

Hydra then became attached to the rise of the Third Reich in Germany. When the Red Skull's Hydra proved too evil for the Nazis to deal with, they struck out on their on but eventually fell to the likes of Captain America, Peggy Carter, and the Howling Commandos.

Or so everyone thought. It turned ou that SHIELD, which had been founded to defend against threats like Hydra, had been infiltrated by Hydra. Hydra operated from within SHIELD for decades before finally revealing itself during the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Captain America stopped the immediate threat, but it was up to Director Phil Coulson's SHIELD, reborn in the shadows, to stamp Hydra out, eventually tracking down Baron Von Strucker and giving his location to the Avengers to start off Avengers: Age of Ultron.

But Grant Ward tried to reform Hydra, and Gideon Malick and another sect of Hydra had remained true to the goal of returning Hive to Earth. Eventually, Hydra succeeded, but Hive's death seems to eliminated Hydra once and for all.
