The Warriors Three Returning For Thor: Ragnarok

Despite being left off of the cast list released back in May, it looks like the Asgardian Warriors Three will be appearing in Thor: Ragnarok after all. Two of the actors who portray the Warriors Three - Tadanobu Asano, who plays Hogun the Grim, and Ray Stevenson, who plays Volstagg the Voluminous – have been spotted on the Gold Coast of Australia, where Thor Ragnarok is filming.

Asano revealed himself to be in Australia via a post to his own Instagram page. In the photo, Asano can be seen on the beach. He captioned the photo with, "Hello Australia."

Stevenson was photographed for an Instagram post by Punktured Tatoo, an Australian tattoo parlor. Turns our Stevenson decided to get some ink before he went off to film Thor: Ragnarok.

Wile Hogun and Volstagg are both accounted for, that still leaves Fandral the Dashing, played by Zachary Levi, missing. Levi has only hinted indirectly at his involvement with Thor: Ragnarok, but that combined with Asano and Stevenson's presence certainly makes things seem promising. There's also Lady Sif, companion to Thor and the Warrior Three, The actress who plays Sif, Blindspot star Jaimie Alexander, has only said that she can't comment on her involvement, but that fans shouldn't worry.

Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows, Hunt for the Wilderpeople) from a screenplay by Stephany Folsom, and stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Karl Urban as Skurge and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk.

Principal photography on Thor: Ragnarok began on July 4, 2016, at Village Roadshow Studios in Oxenford, Gold Coast, Queensland in Australia. Filming will also take place throughout Queensland, in Brisbane, and in Sydney, and is expected to continue through October 2016.
