Thor: Ragnarok Reveals Nine Colorful New Images

Thor: Ragnarok is making its first big media/PR blitz with an EW cover revealing the new look of Chris Hemsworth's Thor, along with first looks looks at new ally Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and new villain, Hela (Cate Blanchett).

Never one to stop with just one tease, Marvel Studios has followed up the Thor: Ragnarok cover with an entire spread of new photos from the film! If you want to see them all, be sure to check out our Thor: Ragnarok photo gallery above!

The photos seem to mostly depict the gladiatorial world that Thor and Valkyrie (and presumably The Hulk) will do battle in. That world is probably much more extravagant and colorful than a lot of fans were probably thinking; the production design and overall aesthetic look like a classic Jack Kirby drawing come to life.

In addition to colors, we get to see Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster - brother to Benicio Del Toro's Collector from Guardians of the Galaxy, and another look at Cate Blanchett's Hela. It also seems that Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie might have a bigger supporting role than some fans may have guessed. Will Thor finally find love with a warrior who is his equal (sorry Sif...)?
