Funko is bringing a line of Thor: Ragnarok Pop! vinyl figures to store shelves ahead of the latest Marvel Studios blockbuster's November release, and we have a look at one of the line's newer additions: Korg.

The Kronan warrior makes his live-action debut in Thor: Ragnarok, played by director Taika Waititi. In the Marvel Comics, Korgmade his debut in 1962's Journey Into Mystery #83 (also the first appearance of Thor), and became one of the Hulk's allies during the more recent Planet Hulk storyline from which the Thor threequel takes partial inspiration.

"Thor meets him on Sakaar and he's one of the gladiators. He becomes Thor's mate," Waititi told us at San Diego Comic Con. "Originally it only started off as a very small role — hey, it wasn't me, I didn't do it — but the role's gotten bigger now."

Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk, his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor's quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Tessa Thompson, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Benedict Cumberbatch, Anthony Hopkins and Cate Blanchette, Thor: Ragnarok opens November 3.
