Thor: Ragnarok Sideshow Collectibles Might Contain A Major Spoiler

The floor of San Diego Convention Center is open to thousands of Comic Con attendees, revealing an abundance of posters, collectibles, costumes, and more. Among those reveals is a potential spoiler for the upcoming Marvel Studios film Thor: Ragnarok.

While Thor, the Hulk, and Loki appear together in Sideshow Collectibles at the manufacturer's booth, one accessory with the collectible figures is a revealing detail from the film. The Loki figure comes equipped with the cosmic cube.

The cosmic cube, also known as the tesseract, was last seen in Marvel's The Avengers back in 2012. Thor took the cube back to Asgard for safekeeping after the Chitauri army had been defeated. We can now conclude, the cube will resurface in Thor: Ragnarok.

This alone is not necessarily a major spoiler. However, when the accessory is paired with the Avengers: Infinity War footage shown at D23 over the weekend, it appears Thanos might play a role in the upcoming Thor film. In the footage, Loki was seen handing the tesseract to an unknown figure. However, the figure is clearly taller than him. Who but Thanos would be a taller figure than Loki, eager to collect the Infinity Stones? After all, one of the Stones resides within the cosmic cube.

Assuming the footage shown at D23 was strictly from the Avengers: Infinity War film and not footage of Loki handing over the cube in Thor: Ragnarok, the last Thor film before the ensemble flick will, at the very least, be setting the stage for Loki to betray the Avengers (whether intentionally or unknowingly) again.

Perhaps Hela was too much to handle for Loki as he sat on the throne of Asgard, acting as Odin since we last saw him in Thor: The Dark World. He had previously acquired his Chitauri army in The Avengers from the Mad Titan, so reaching to the villain for help, assuming he would use his powers to help spare Asgard from Hela's wrath may be a misguided action by Thor's half-brother.

With Marvel Studios set to conquer Hall H for two hours at San Diego Comic Con on Saturday, more details from Thor: Ragnarok will inevitably be surfacing.
