Tom Holland Reveals Why He Was A Little Disappointed Trying On Spider-Man Suit First Time

We are in an age where actors every few months are talking about putting on their new superhero costume for the first time. Words like "Exciting" and "Amazing" and "Surreal" are often used, but... Disappointing? That's what actor Tom Holland told MarvelUK on the red carpet at the Captain America: Civil War Europe premiere about putting on the Spider-Man costume for the first time.
"Sadly, I have to say it was a little disappointing," Holland reluctantly admitted. "My stunt double at the time was a little taller than I am, and I had to wear his suit because they didn't have one for me! So it was kind of baggy the first time I tried it on, and it wasn't as cool as I hoped!"
Of course, they did make a costume just for him eventually.
"Then obviously," he continued, "once they fixed it up, it looked incredible. It was amazing."
Good word choice at the end there, Spider-Man.
Tom Holland premieres as the new Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man in Civil War on May 6, 2016, before moving on to Spider-Man: Homecoming with Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios July 7, 2017.
