X-Men TV Pilot To Be Directed by Bryan Singer

Fox has decided to keep its new X-Men television project in experienced hands. The X-Men TV series pilot will be directed by Bryan Singer. Singer has directed four X-Men movies for 20th Century Fox.
Singer was already attached to the project as an executive producer. His resume includes directing X-Men, X2: X-Men United, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and X-Men: Apocalypse. His TV credits include work on Battle Creek, House, and Mockingbird Lane.
Having Singer's name attached to the X-Men TV pilot should drum up some buzz, prestige, and attention for the new project.
The new X-Men TV show received an official pilot order yesterday. The show is created by Burn Notice's Matt Nix, who is reportedly a longtime X-Men fan. The series will follow two human parents who discover their child has mutant powers and are forced to go on the run from a hostile government. The family discovers an underground network of mutants who help them in their fight and struggle to survive.
If picked up to series, the Nix project will join Legion as the second X-Men franchise project on television. The Nix project replaced Hellfire, a previously announced X-Men TV project that failed to get off the ground.
