Maybe it's good editing, maybe it's the building music, maybe it's the key one-liners, but the second full trailer for Fantastic Four was packed full of exciting moments. From action to tense moments to - well, again, those great bits of dialogue, there's a lot in here to enjoy. Here are the five moments that most made us think the movie just might be... fantastic.

"We're Family"/"He's Not Stronger Than All of Us"

While there are some great lines in here, two in particular felt like Fantastic Four in a more cosmic sense. The first is simple, and only two words: "We're Family." That's the essential component of Fantastic Four that many are concerned about being present in the film - and those two words go a long way to help.

The second is when Reed Richards is clearly trying to rally the team against Doctor Doom. "He's stronger than any of us. He's not stronger than all of us." It's a great moment, and a uniquely Mr. Fantastic kind of rallying cry. If the rest of the movie builds their familial bonds this way, we may be in for a treat.

Humble Beginnings

Seeing a young Reed Richards displaying his love for science (and in this case teleportation in particular) is a great way to endear us to the character. It worked for another recent Marvel movie, when we met the young Star-Lord before he'd ever seen the stars up close, and had a reason for his love for music. Here we get to actually see and understand why Reed is the way he is, instead of them just telling us when he's a young adult. It's a key difference (show, don't tell) and comforting to see it adhered to even within three short minutes.

First (Accidental) Power Use

When they've gone through the teleporter and into the other dimension (the Negative Zone? Man, we hope so!), it appears they come back from the experience not just transformed, but unconscious. The next few shots show Reed, Johnny, and Sue all laying on medical tables. We see Reed stretched out, see Johnny ignite, and see Sue fade away into invisibility. It's cool to see their powers come in a small, gradual and simple way. Yes, seeing them all use their powers in action, but this kind of moment can mean a lot in building what you expect from characters.

Fantastic Four Family Flying

Speaking of seeing powers in action, that final scene, with Sue (carrying the other two) and Johnny flying side by side is exciting. It's not a fight, or some spectacular feat of strength, but it's a moment with incredible special effects that also happens to have that element of family involved, as well. And c'mon, seeing an Invisible force field and a man on fire flying through some sort of wormhole as fast as they can? Well, it's cool, and as a final shot, it leaves a lasting impression.

What is Coming? Doom.

Now, how Doctor Doom looks is always up for debate, but they definitely nailed the tone here. When Reed asks what is coming and we hear, simply, "Doom," that's exactly what we want out of the good doctor. His countenance notwithstanding, the most important thing about the character has always been his confidence to the point of arrogance, and somehow that one word portrayed that nicely. Couple it together with the classic "over the shoulder" villain shot and his brief moments confronting the team, and we may be able to wash the taste of the other movie take on the character out of our mouths.
