Adam McKay Will Be Involved With Ant-Man & The Wasp

Ant-Man co-writer Adam McKay, who was at one point courted to direct the film when Edgar Wright left the project, will be involved with its sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp in some capacity, Nerdist confirms.
The project will be written by Andrew Barrer, Gabriel Ferrari, and Paul Rudd, and is due out on July 6, 2018.
"We've been talking to Marvel actually," McKay said. "We just talked to them the other day, and it looks like I will be involved. I don't know if it's gonna be right from page one. But it looks like I will definitely be involved. There you go. There's a little headline for the fanboys!"
Evangeline Lilly's The Wasp becomes the first female superhero to get title placement at Marvel Studios, as she and Paul Rudd return to reprise their roles from Ant-Man. No director has officially been announced yet, although Peyton Reed is expected to return.
