Alongside the exciting first teaser trailer for Assassin's Creed, 20th Century Fox also showed off the first official poster for the film. The poster puts Michael Fassbender's character from the past front-and-center, as Aguilar recreates a signature moment from all of the games: the Leap of Faith.

The leap is done off high points in the game world, and is one of the more fantastic elements of the game, where as long as the Assassin lands in a pile of hay, they're fine. Goofy? Sure. Awesome anyway? Absolutely. The poster moment is also seen at the end of the trailer, which you can see in detail in the stills pulled from it.

Aguilar is one of two characters Fassbender plays in the film, as he also plays Aguilar's descendant Callum Lynch. In a conceit straight out of the videogame series, Callum learns about the Assassins and their unique mission (and skills) by living out moments from the life of his ancestor thanks to a mysterious device run by an even more mysterious organization, Abstergo.

Assassin's Creed hits theaters December 21, 2016.
