Batman V. Superman's Zack Snyder Talks About His Friendly Rivalry WIth Star Wars: The Force Awakens' J.J. Abrams

Batman and Superman are going to have a little fight with one another come March, but the two of the them will be teaming up to take on not only Doomsday, but box office records, as well. While the records recently set by Star Wars: The Force Awakens seem fairly untouchable, that never stopped a little friendly banter between the two projects' directors.
In the fall, Zack Snyder tweeted out an image of Henry Cavill's Superman rocking some Jedi garb and a lightsaber.
J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot responded with some artwork of their own, showing off C3PO posing as Batman.
Snyder recently opened up about the friendly rivalry. "It was super fun and super friendly," he told The Daily Beast. "And it's one of those things that doesn't make it to the corporate level. The studio's always like, 'What are you guys doing?' Which is cool because it just exists outside… just a friendly back and forth."
"They're so iconographic even if you weren't trying eventually you'd turn something into a lightsaber," Snyder added, before concluding, "Even if you weren't trying to, eventually someone puts on a black cowl or cape."
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now playing in theaters. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25, 2016.
