On Thursday, Bill Murray, who played Dr. Peter Venkman in the original Ghostbusters films, was spotted on his way to the set of Paul Feig's Ghostbusters reboot. Today, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Murray will appear in the film. And now, Birth Movies Death has provided some possible details as what Murray's role is.
They claim that Murray is playing 'Martin Heiss' in the reboot, who is a "professional supernatural debunker." The role is described as "tiny," however, I doubt you'll miss it even if you blink.
Paul Feig wrote the 'Heiss' role with Murray in mind, as indicated in a script that Birth Movies Death has seen.
The cast includes Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Andy Garcia, Cecily Strong, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, Chris Hemsworth and Neil Casey. It's being directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat), based on a script he co-wrote with Katie Dippold.
Ghostbusters is due in theaters July 15, 2016.
