Bill Murray May Appear In Ghostbusters Reboot, Spotted On Way To Set

Last Thursday, photo news agency FameFlynet (via SHH) photographed Bill Murray (Meatballs, Groundhog Day) on his way to the Boston, Massachusetts set of Paul Feig's Ghostbusters.

Is he making a cameo? That's what the reports are claiming. It wouldn't be that much of a surprise as Murray has been very supportive of the female-led reboot ever since it was announced and just this past October, Murray indicated to Variety he would consider appearing in another Ghostbusters to pass the baton. Though, Murray is well known for popping up in random places, so he may well have been visiting the set for kicks-and-giggles.

Paul Feig already got one original Ghostbuster, Dan Aykroyd, to appear, why not two? Aykroyd filmed his Ghostbusters cameo in the middle of July. If you'd like details about Aykroyd's cameo, click here.

The cast includes Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Andy Garcia, Cecily Strong, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, Chris Hemsworth and Neil Casey. It's being directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat), based on a script he co-wrote with Katie Dippold.

Ghostbusters is due in theaters July 15, 2016.
