The Fox panel and subsequent interviews from Comic-Con International: San Diego brought fans some new information about the long-awaited Deadpool movie.

We've still got a couple of weeks before the footage shown in Hall H is released, but to hold you over until then, here's what we learned about the movie from the big show.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead starts as Colossus' trainee

This was confirmed during the panel by actress Brianna Hildebrand. Presumably, she'll decide she like's Wade's teaching style better after meeting Deadpool.

Vanessa Is A Romantic lead

As expected, Morena Baccarin's Vanessa will be a romantic interest for Deadpool. It's still unclear if this Vanessa Carlyle still have the shapeshifting powers that she had in the comics, where she went by the code name Copycat.

In a separate interview, Ryan Reynolds and Baccarin teased that there would be a "very athletic" sex scene in the movie. It should be interesting to see how a Deadpool sex scene plays out.

Confirmed fourth wall breaking

Reynolds confirmed that Deadpool will be breaking the fourth wall in the movie. The footage shown at Comic-Con even had Deadpool making a reference to Rob Liefeld, the character's creator.

Taking advantage of that R rating

While it technically hasn't been officially rated yet, it seems clear that Deadpool plans to earn every bit of its R rating, between the violence of the trailer, the teased sex scene, and the raunchy humor, especially if the way the actors joked at the panel is anything to go by.

The scene from the leaked test footage is in

Or at least that one action sequence with the flipping vehicle is. It was shown as part of the Hall H footage.
