According to Deadline, Halle Berry is joining the cast of 20th Century Fox's Kingsman 2.
They claim "Berry is in talks to play the head of the CIA" in the sequel to 2015's Kingsman: The Secret Service, and the role will require Berry to sign a two-picture deal.
Berry, who is best known for playing Storm in Fox's X-Men films, joins a cast that features Taron Egerton reprising his role as Eggsy and Julianne Moore coming on board as the film's villain. Matthew Vaughn will return to direct the sequel, based on a script he co-wrote with Jane Goldman.
Kingsman 2 is set for release on June 16, 2017. Filming is expected to begin this May.
