Harry Potter Fans Have Been Trying To Free Dobby At The WB Studio Tour

Hermione Granger would be quite proud of Harry Potter fans today. A replica of Dobby the house elf from the series is on display as part of the Warner Bros. Studio Tour, and fans have been trying to free him.
Fans will know that Dobby was a house elf, essentially slaves used by powerful wizard family's for housework and, occasionally, more nefarious purposes. A house elf has no possessions, and is only freed from servitude when presented with a piece of clothing.
As you can see in the photo below, fans have been leaving socks behind for poor old Dobby.
The sock, in particular, is inspired by how Harry Potter tricked Dobby's master, Lucius Malfoy, into freeing Dobby by throwing a sock at him in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
J.K. Rowling seems to approve. The author retweeted the photo herself.
