Kevin Hart Starring in Great Outdoors Reboot

Kevin Hart's career shows no signs as slowing down, as the diminutive comedian has jumped onboard a remake of the John Candy comedy film, The Great Outdoors.
Variety reports has joined the reboot, which is in development over at Universal Pictures. The original film starred John Candy and Dan Aykroyd, in a story about Chicago city guy (Candy) who tries to take his family for a relaxing weekend in the woods. That plan goes sideways when the man's bothersome brother-in-law (Dan Aykroyd) crashes the trip with his own oddball family in tow. It was written by the late, great, John Hughes and directed by Howard Deutch.
No word on who may team with Hart for the reboot; though someone like Mike Epps wouldn't be that much of a surprise. In the meantime, Hart has an animated movie (Captain Underpants) and a long-awaited sequel (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) both hitting theaters.
