Chris Hemsworth of Avengers: Age of Ultron has been named Favorite Action Movie Actor at the People's Choice Awards 2016.
Following a number of jokes tonight about his handsome appearance, Hemsworth appeared onstage to describe his job as "a childhood dream I'm living out," and thanked the fans and moviegoers who make it possible.
Hemsworth was nominated in a category which also included Chris Pratt, Dwayne Johnson, Robert Downey Jr. and Vin Diesel. Besides Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2015, Hemsworth starred in Blackhat, In the Heart of the Sea and Vacation. In 2016, he'll appear in Ghostbusters and The Huntsman Winter's War.
The People's Choice Awards are voted on by fans at the Awards website. They are airing live tonight on CBS starting at 9 p.m. ET.
