Todd McFarlane Reveals Completed Spawn Movie Script

For those who have been begging for another Spawn movie, Todd McFarlane is coming to the rescue. The Image Co-Founder has been talking about writing a new Spawn movie for years now, and he's finally completed the task.

On Monday, McFarlane posted a video to his YouTube channel, announcing the finished script. He had the screenplay in hand, and told his fans that it was finally done.

According to the video, the script was over 180 pages at the end of the first draft, but that's way too long for a movie in Hollywood. He has since trimmed some fat, and gotten the script down to 136 pages - he even showed the final page number to prove it.

McFarlane says that the next phase of this project is getting the script bought by a studio. He hasn't taken it to anyone yet, but he claims that over 14 folks in Hollywood have already contacted him about the script.

The goal, as Todd states in the video, is to have some kind of official announcement to reveal before San Diego Comic Con in July. He'd like to get a production company on board, and a start date for filming, in order to give the fans what they've been asking for.

As McFarlane says at the end of the video, this doesn't mean the movie is officially getting made. It's well on its way, but that is far from a done deal. The script is done, and that's a great first step, but there is still a lot of work to be done before this can happen.

Hopefully, a studio will quickly jump on the chance to make this movie. There's a lot of Spawn fans out there, and they'd all love to see a new movie in the near future.
