The first trailer for Star Trek Beyond will premiere in front of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
Star Trek Beyond is the third film in Paramount's rebooted Star Trek franchise. The previous two films were directed by J.J. Abrams, director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Abrams' production studio, Bad Robot, is based out of Paramount, so It should come as no surprise Paramount was able to secure one of the highly coveted trailer spots.
Other trailers screening ahead of Star Wars: The Force Awakens include the blockbusters Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Huntsman's Winter War, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Independence Day: Resurgence. They may or may not be joined by trailers for Disney's The Jungle Book and Captain America: Civil War.
