Star Wars: Episode VIII Director Rian Johnson Shares Week 4 Set Picture

Rian Johnson's already a month into principal photography on Star Wars: Episode VIII, a fact even the writer/director can't quite process.
"Hard to believe we're wrapping up week four already, it's just flying by," Johnson posted along with the above picture, an on-set photo of Cinematographer Steve Yedlin standing in what looks like a cutaway set from the Millennium Falcon (or another ship) interior.
Johnson has been slightly more open about his process, partly due to his pre-existing online presence on Tumblr and Twitter, where he regularly shares in-progress work and interacts with fans, press, and his own friends in the business. That doesn't mean he's likely to post anything monumental or spoiler-filled, but it does mean a few more peeks behind the curtain than the famously secretive J.J. Abrams was willing to give on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, something star Daisy Ridley also mentioned recently.
Star Wars: Episode VIII is filming now for a December 15, 2017 release.
