Star Wars: The Force Awaken's General Hux Is Merciless According To Domhnall Gleeson

We're less than three months away from the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and we still don't know all that much about the plot or all of the new characters. One thing we do know for sure, is that Domhnall Gleeson (Ex-Machina, Dredd) is playing General Hux, a young and ruthless officer in the First Order.
"Yeah, I mean you look at him and you realise he's not a good guy! He's got an English accent so he can't be good," the Irish-born actor pointed out to Total Film (via gamesradar). He then added that Hux was described to him as "merciless" by his director J.J. Abrams.
Over the past several years, Gleeson has mastered the wide-eyed, good-natured characters, but he leaped at the chance to do Star Wars because it allowed him to show another side - a dark side - of himself. "Yeah, it's fun to do different things. I hadn't played anybody like that before," Gleeson explained. "Star Wars is amazing, J.J. Abrams is amazing, but the thing to do was play something different. That's what got me really excited."
Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in theaters December 18, 2015
