Stephen King's "It" Gets A Release Date

Stephen King couldn't help himself, and now the infamous creepy clown Pennywise is on his way back to theatres next year.
King's 'It" is set to release on September 8th, 2017 (via The Wrap), and will be directed by Andy Muschietti. The original film starred Tim Curry in the lead role, but no word yet on who the studio is eyeing for the part quite yet.
The film takes place in a small Maine town, where a group of kids known as the losers club will have to deal with a monster that takes the shape of a creepy clown, better known as Pennywise.
