Taron Egerton Responds To Those Young Han Solo Rumors

Less than a week ago, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Disney and Lucasfilm narrowed down their search for young Han Solo to three actors: Alden Ehrenreich, Jack Reynor, and Taron Egerton. However, it sounds like the 26-year-old breakout star of Kingsman: The Secret Service was never in the running to begin with.
"I've heard this rumor, yes," Egerton said on The Jonathan Ross Show, while promoting Eddie the Eagle. "I mean I've seen the stuff on the Internet, and I think any lad of my age would kill to play a part like that. It's very, very flattering. I've no idea if there's any truth in it but I mean, Lucasfilm, Disney, if there is then you know where I am."
Has Disney even contacted him about the role? "No, they've not," he answered.
