Need proof that Iron Man star Robert Downey, Jr. is a hero in real life, then look no further than what he just did for a child, who had been having a rough time recently.
The mother of a child named Daniel, who has cystic fibrosis, reached out to Robert Downey Jr. via Instagram. She wrote that Robert Downey, Jr. was Daniel's idol, and a simple reply could help cheer Daniel up during his stay in the hospital.
Downey, Jr. did more than just reply, he sent along a funny picture of himself dressed as Tigger from Winnie the Pooh and invited Daniel to the Captain America: Civil War premiere. Here's what Downey, Jr. wrote.
Mr. Stark here. This is for Daniel (@envy_coatings) who was having a rough day recently. When I'm in the dumps, I've found this little getup to be helpful. P.S. Would you like to come to the LA premiere of Captain America: Civil War as my guest? If so, have your people call my people. All the best.
