Dave Franco Talks About Auditioning To Play Han Solo In Star Wars Spinoff
04/17/2016 04:49 pm EDT
During an interview in support of Now You See Me 2, actor Dave Franco discussed with MTV the experience of reading for the new Han Solo Star Wars spinoff film.
Saying that in many ways it was like any other audition, Franco acknowledged that outside factors certainly make it feel different once you're no longer in the audition itself.
"Because of the nature of what it is, it just explodes everywhere," he said. "I doin't want to underplay; I'm very flattered to have been, or be, in the conversation, but it is what it is."
Franco said that he thinks the studio hasn't yet decided whether they want somebody to be very much like Harrison Ford, or someone who's different.
You can check out the full interview below.
The film is still officially not yet announced dated, but it's expected to come along in either 2018 or 2020.
