Matthew McConaughey, John Boyega, & Daisy Ridley Appear In Star Wars Auditions SNL Extra

The fake auditions for Star Wars: The Force Awakens video was the most talked about and well-loved segment on this past season of Saturday Night Live, and as it turned out, there was more to be seen. SNL released an extra clip online that includes more of the fake auditions, featuring real-life Star Wars stars like John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, and a slew of Hollywood big-wigs and SNL castmates alike.
The hilarious "Phantom Screen Tests" features Matthew McConaughey stumping to play Lando Calrissian, John Boyega doing a more "urbanized" version of his character, and a surprise appearance by Emma Stone, Jon Hamm in a Han Solo costume, and much more. We can only hope that the next time J.J. Abrams is at a convention, someone cosplays as Jon Hamm as Han Solo and tells him to put up his space hands.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is available now on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD, after setting more than thirty records in its theatrical release last December. The direct follow-up, Star Wars: Episode VIII is filming now under the direction of Rian Johnson for a December 15, 2017 release. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, a stand-alone film that takes place before the events of the first Star Wars film, will release this December.
