In less than a month, fans will finally be able to watch the first Star Wars spin-off when Rogue One: A Star Wars hits theaters. The much-anticipated film will see Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) join a group of Rebels looking to steal plans to the Galactic Empire's Death Star. And, now, Empire Magazine has released a slew of new photos from Rogue One to celebrate the film's release.

The first image published by Empire features Riz Ahmed's Bodhi Rook. The picture shows him talking with several unsavory character who are all pointing blasters at him. The actor talked about his character and said Rook is a regular guy who gets caught up in something extraordinary.

"He's just a guy," Rook said. "An everyman who finds himself thrust into the middle of historic events. He's someone who is disconcerted by what they're up against. It makes his decisions and choices much braver."

The second photo features Baze Malbus (Jiang Wen) and Chirrut Îmwe (Donnie Yen). The two characters are born fighters in the Rebellion, but they hold different outlooks on the Rebellion. However, the pair's long history keeps them loyal to one another despite their differences. Fans have seen all three of these characters debut in previous TV spots, but these hi-res images give viewers a chance to more closely inspect the men before Rogue One premieres.

If you have plans to see Rogue One in theaters, then you can plan ahead and buy your tickets beforehand. The film's ticket sales will begin on Monday, November 28.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits US theaters December 16, 2016. Directed by Gareth Edwards, it's the first of the new standalone features from Lucasfilm and Disney, which take place outside the core "Skywalker Saga" of films noted by an Episode number. Rogue Onetells the story of the small band of rebels that were tasked with stealing the plans to the first Death Star. The story spins directly off the opening crawl from the original Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. In that crawl, it read: "Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet."

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are producing, with John Knoll and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers.
