Hitting theaters later this week is one of the most highly-anticipated sci-fi blockbusters of the year, War for the Planet of the Apes, which stars Woody Harrelson. During a recent interview with Uproxx to promote that film, Harrelson revealed he's not at all worried about the recent director shake-up on the untitled Han Solo film, which is easily one of the most anticipated sci-fi blockbusters of next year.

When asked what his thoughts were about directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller leaving the film and Ron Howard stepping in to take over the final few weeks of the shoot, Harrelson replied, "Oh, you can relax, man – because obviously the Force is with us."

One reason that the actor might be at ease is that he's worked with Howard before, starring in 1999's EDtv, which was the prescient comedy about an average guy (Matthew McConaughey) who had a reality show built around his mundane, daily activities. In the film, Harrelson played McConaughey's brother, who hoped to use Ed's fame for his own financial gain.

Considering their history together, Harrelson praised Howard, confessing, "Ron is great. He's awesome. He's such a gentleman and so prepared."

Not wanting to discredit the work that Lord and Miller put into the film, Harrelson was quick to add, "And I loved Chris and Phil. But I think we did land in very capable hands."

With how curious fans are of what to expect from Star Wars spin-off, photos and video were leaked over the weekend from the set, a fact that Harrelson was unaware of. Although Harrelson wasn't necessarily surprised by the leaked photos, the interviewer showed him the photos in question, with the actor only getting surprised by how close to him the photographer got.

The untitled Han Solo film is slated to hit theaters May 25, 2018.

Set prior to the events of Han Solo's first appearance in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, the film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Joonas Suotamo. The film is said to show how Han Solo and Chewbacca, first met Lando Calrissian, played by Glover.

Filming on the Han Solo movie began in January 2017 with Phil Lord and Christopher Miller directing. Principal photography began at Pinewood Studios in February. Lord and Miller left the Han Solo movie in June, having reportedly been fired over creative differences. Ron Howard will come on as the director to see the production to completion.
