Help us, Ewan McGregor! You're our only hope for an Obi-Wan solo movie...

The Star Wars franchise is in the middle of building a large extended universe, stretching far beyond the Skywalker saga, and many famous characters are in talks for their own standalone films. But, where is the Obi-Wan Kenobi movie?!

Fans have continued to ask this question over the years, mainly because the actor portraying the character wants the movie to happen as well. Ewan McGregor, who starred as Obi-Wan in all three prequel films, has been transparent about his desire to reprise the role.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, McGregor further explained his willingness to return. He said he would "be happy to do" an Obi-Wan spin-off film, shutting the door on anyone doubting his love for the character.

McGregor did explain that he's not desperate for work, but that he would love the chance to play the part again.
