Star Wars Poe Dameron High-Tops From Po-Zu Make Resistance Fighting Stylish

We don't have any pure sneakerheads here at the Comicbook.com office, but nearly every member of the staff appreciates a good shoe - especially if it has a good geeky flare. The new Po-Zu Star Wars shoes launching later this year are definitely in that category.

The shoes are a red sneaker with a white base, done loosely in the hightop style of Converse All-Stars. With white edging along the back to represent a Resistance flight suit like the one worn by Poe Dameron in Star Wars: The Force Awakens when he's in his X-wing, instead of the star you'd see on a pair of Chuck Taylors, you'll see the Rebel/Resistance phoenix emblem. The tongue of the shoe is branded with a "Star Wars Po-Zu" woven label.

Po-zu additionally detailed that the insole is removable, using their "Foot-Mattress" tech with memory-foam, then latex and cork in the sole, which certainly sounds like a comfortable fit. The Star Wars/ Po-Zu Co-branded footwear is listed on their website as a "range" as well, so we should be seeing other styles coming later.

No exact release date or price was announced for the shoes, but they say pre-orders will launch this spring. You can see their full post and browse the other shoes from the UK-based brand on their site. Check out a peek here and a full-size version of the image in the gallery below.

As for Poe Dameron and the resistance, you can see them back in action in Star Wars: Episode VIII, coming late this year. Hopefully you'll have some fresh kicks to wear when you do.

Star Wars: Episode VIII, from writer/director Rian Johnson, is in post-production now for a December 15, 2017 release. The film follows-up and continues the story of the next generation of the saga as Rey, Poe, Finn, and Kylo Ren find their place in the galaxy and follow the legacy of Luke Skywalker, Leia, and Han Solo. Daisy Ridley returns to star as Rey, with other returning stars John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong'o Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa. Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern join the cast in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
