Disney Creating Brand New Star Wars Resort Experience

Have you ever wanted to exist within the world of Star Wars? Is it your dream to sleep on one of the iconic starships seen in the storied franchise? Do you just love wearing your Jedi garb around everywhere you go?

If you answered 'Yes' to any of these questions, you're in luck. Disney has just working on plans to create a full 'Starship' resort experience, where fans can truly live out life in a galaxy far, far away.

According to Walt Disney World News Today, the company is surveying fans and passholders about what they'd like to see in this kind of experience. The report states that Disney's goal is to create a resort that is modeled after the Star Wars universe, so that fans actually feel like they're staying on a Starship.

In the concept art featured on the post, bedrooms overlooking famous galactic cities and landscapes can bee seen. There are also rooms that are designed to imitate the ship's control room, and restaurants that look like grand halls.

The park is rumored to cost about $1000 per guest, and would consist of an all-inclusive, two-day experience.

With Star Wars Land set to open in 2019, that would be a great guess as to when we could see the Starship resort.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, from writer/director Rian Johnson, is in post-production now for a December 15, 2017 release. The film follows-up and continues the story of the next generation of the saga as Rey, Poe, Finn, and Kylo Ren find their place in the galaxy and follow the legacy of Luke Skywalker, Leia, and Han Solo. Daisy Ridley returns to star as Rey, with other returning stars John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong'o Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa. Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern join the cast in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
