Funny Mistake From The Walking Dead Midseason 7 Finale

The Walking Dead is a great show but it isn't perfect.

Like many movies and TV shows, the AMC series has had its share of slip-ups on the production side of things (including a car driving through the background of a shot from Season 6, once). In fact, earlier this year, Maggie's magical spoon transformation in the Hilltop scenes earned more fans than Tabitha the goat.

A little slip-up occured in the midseason 7 finale with Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan character. Just as he sat down for a drink with Spencer Monroe, some eagle-eyed Reddit users spotted something interesting: a cell phone in Negan's pocket. Obviously, cell phones don't work in the apocalyptic land of the undead but apparently Negan likes to carry his iPhone around, anyway -- or maybe it's a Samsung Galaxy Note he intends to use as a bomb?

In any case, you can see the slip up in the shot below, which is likely nothing more than Morgan keeping his phone in his pocket on set.

Maybe Spencer should have used that cell phone to call out for help, seeing as he needed it after trying to cross his fearless leader Rick and align himself with the Saviors.

Some of the best movies have silly little mistakes like this one, so we won't hold it against The Walking Dead, which saw a rise in viewership for this particular episode -- marking two straight weeks of gains in the ratings.
