Norman Reedus Responds To The Walking Dead's Critics

After beginning season seven with one of the most brutal episodes in television history, The Walking Dead has been the subject of some serious critical bashing.

Many called out against the show following the premiere, stating that the show had become too violent. Parents' groups even petitioned to have The Walking Dead taken off the air, and some reviews used terms like "torture porn" to describe the episode.

As the season went on, some criticized the show for not having enough violence. When there was a slow episode, that built a lot of the story arc, they complained that the series had lost touch.

Many of the actors have spoken their minds about these critics, and Norman Reedus is now taking a turn. The actor - who has starred as Daryl Dixon since the show's first episode - quickly shuts down the critics online.

"I think too many people are on the Internet," he told The Dirty. "And everybody has a computer and everybody has an opinion. Which is fine."

"But you gotta stop," he continued. "If you don't have too much violence, they go there's not enough violence. Too much violence, there's too much violence. You just have to tell the story sometimes."

Like most fans of The Walking Dead, Reedus doesn't agree with much of the criticism. He knows how great the series is, and he doesn't look to critics to prove it.
