Screen Panels: The Walking Dead Goes Word For Word With The Comics In Episode 7x15

Spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 15 follow!

Sunday's Something They Need episode of AMC's The Walking Dead followed the comics in verbatim fashion.

Sasha's raid on the Sanctuary, although initiated differently, has produced the same outcome as its comic book counterpart sequences. In Robert Kirkman's original comics, Sasha's equivalent character raided Negan's Sanctuary by forcing Rick out of a pick-up truck and crashed it in the compound. Just when it looked like zombies would get the best of her, Negan saved her life and took her as a prisoner.

In issue #117 of The Walking Dead comics, David approaches Holly (Sasha's comic book counterpart) in her Sanctuary cell and attempts to rape her. The same phrases regarding, "fighting" making it last longer and how "thirsty" she is were spewed on the pages of the comics.

In the video at the top of the page, the audio from Sunday's Something The Need episode is paired with the pages of The Walking Dead comics to display just how closely the AMC series followed its source material.

Of course, the scene in the comics culminates with Negan driving a knife through David's neck right in front of Holly before telling her how important it is to him that she knows they are "not monsters." This does, however, spell doom for Sasha if the series continues to follow the source material with such accuracy. In the comics, Holly is returned to Alexandria with a bag over her head, only to be discovered as a zombie when it is removed.
