The Walking Dead: How Does Rosita Die In The Comics?

03/05/2017 01:28 pm EST

WARNING: Spoilers Ahead for The Walking Dead comic series!

If you've been watching The Walking Dead, you know that Rosita is getting a little reckless. Abraham and Spencer have both been killed, and her friend Eugene has been taken captive. It seems like nothing can really go well for Rosita, and she's taken a sacrificial mindset because of it. Her recent demeanor has many fans thinking that this could be the end of the character.

With The Walking Dead, it's always wise to dig into the comics for such a topic, and so we'll do just that. Does Rosita meet her end soon in the comics?

While Rosita does die in the comics, it's not for quite some time. In fact, Rosita's death doesn't occur until long after the war with Negan.

After the war concludes, the comics undergo a time-jump of a couple of years. During this time, people have grown, and new relationships have developed. One of these new relationships occurs between Eugene and Rosita.

The two friends end up living together, and embarking on a serious relationship. While Eugene takes their love very seriously, Rosita doesn't. Even so, Rostia eventually ends up pregnant.

The pregnancy causes the two to butt heads, and Rosita is considering leaving Eugene despite the fact. One of their last conversations is an argument, and Eugene never sees her again.

Rosita is one of many residents killed at the onset of the Whisperer War. To make an example, the Whisperers put several characters' heads on pikes, marking a wall between the communities. Rosita is among the heads Rick discovers on the new border, along with Olivia and others.

If the show follows the comic's lead, it will be quite a while before something happens to Rosita.

Following Sunday's new episode, executive producer of The Walking Dead and director of Say Yes, Greg Nicotero will join ComicBook.com's live after show, After the Dead, for an exclusive interview recapping the episode and previewing the final four episodes of Season 7.
