'The Walking Dead': Norman Reedus Reveals Bizarre Wish For Daryl's Death Scene

None of the character on The Walking Dead are considered "safe" at any time. Heading into the eighth season, only five remain from the earliest episodes, so with a war on the horizon, it's possible for one or more of them to bow out -- including Daryl Dixon.

Daryl is one of those surviving characters from The Walking Dead's first season. With death always looming not far from the characters on the AMC series, Daryl actor Norman Reedus has already come up with an ideal send-off for his character -- though it is quite bizarre.

"I think you'd see a sunset," Reedus told CNet. "I would walk up over a hill and then a little wolf puppy would come out of the woods and follow me up. And people would just go, 'Whatever happened to that guy?'"

Speaking to ComicBook.com ahead of The Walking Dead's Season Seven premiere, Reedus went into further detail regarding Daryl's possible farewell.

"If that were to happen, I'd like him to just walk away and just walk away into the woods, and people go, 'Where the heck is that guy?'" Reedus said. "You know what I mean? It's like, 'Oh, he gets shot.' 'Oh, he turns into a zombie.' 'They put him down.' We've seen all of that happen so many times. I think with Darryl, because he came in that way, I think he should go out that way. He should just walk away, and people are like, 'What ever happened to him?' Nobody knows. He's like the Outlaw Josey Wales or some s---."

While Reedus' fantasy farewell for Daryl is unlikely to be realized on The Walking Dead whether the character dies or not, the actor does believe he could go at any moment. "I think anybody could die on this show," Reedus said. "I think Rick could die. I think anybody could go on the show. I don't think anyone is safe ever on the show. I think they're really good at throwing you zingers out of nowhere."

The Walking Dead's sibling series Fear the Walking Dead returns September 10th. The Walking Dead will return for its eighth season on October 22, 2017. The Season Eight premiere will mark 100 episodes overall for the popular AMC series. For complete coverage and insider info all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
