The Walking Dead: Ross Marquand Teases A Massive Season 8

06/03/2017 04:34 pm EDT

Season 7 of The Walking Dead had a little bit of everything. Charismatic Kings, brutal villains, loads of zombies and even a Tiger. According to Aaron actor Ross Marquand though, that doesn't hold a candle to what season 8 has in store.

Marquand sat down with ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis to talk about season 7 and what the crew has prepared for season 8, and fans can certainly expect big things.

"Man, I mean, I really can't say much, but I will say that again I think it's going to be, I think with what we're capturing so far I think it's going to be the best season so far of the show. I think it's so, so well crafted."

Last season did not lack for tension and high stakes, but according to Marquand next season raises those even higher.

"Every episode I read I'm just blown away by what we're getting on the page, and I think it is going to raise the stakes even higher than the show has ever gone before, which is saying a lot considering the stake rising we've been doing every single year for the last 7. To go even further in season 8, that's just astonishing."

Fans better get prepared, because season 8 sounds like it will redefine the series once again.

Ross Marquand will be appearing this weekend at Walker Stalker Con in Nashville, TN, while the season 8 trailer of The Walking Dead will premiere at San Diego Comic-Con this July.

The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier), Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene), Alanna Masterson (Tara Chambler), Josh McDermitt (Dr. Eugene Porter), Christian Serratos (Rosita Espinosa), Seth Gilliam (Father Gabriel Stokes), Ross Marquand (Aaron), Lennie James (Morgon Jones), Austin Amelio (Dwight), Tom Payne (Paul 'Jesus' Rovia), Katelyn Nacon (Enid), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), and Steven Ogg (Simon), and Karl Makinen (Richard).

Fear the Walking Dead returns for its third season on June 4 at 9 pm ET on AMC. The Walking Dead will return for its eighth season in October of 2017. The first trailer is expected to arrive at San Diego Comic-Con in July.
