Jeffrey Dean Morgan Reveals The Walking Dead Season 8 Production Start Date

The Walking Dead Season 8 is still months away but with news like this, the feeling of new episodes of AMC's hit zombie drama feel like they're getting a little bit closer!

At the Walker Stalker Convention in San Francisco, California over the weekend, Negan actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan took center stage for an opening night panel with a packed crowd cheering him on. After all, he is the number villain on television who fans just love to hate.

This convention will mark the last of the off-season for many of the cast members. Season 8 of The Walking Dead is set to begin production on Tuesday, April 25 according to the actor who said, "We start shooting in 10 days," during his panel on April 15.

Morgan went on to say, "I haven't seen the scripts. I might be dead. Norman Reedus might be dead."

Those scripts might be a bit of an issue for the production, though. With a writers' strike looming, Season 8 of The Walking Dead might end up getting delayed if the Writers Guild isn't satisfied in time. For more on that, click here.

Season 8 of The Walking Dead will see the war between Rick and Negan carried out after it built through the entirety of Season 7.
