The Walking Dead Season 8 Trailer Might Top Season 7's

06/03/2017 04:32 pm EDT

The Walking Dead's season 7 trailer received quite the reception at San Diego Comic-Con last year, but the cast thinks this year's trailer might be even bigger.

Walking Dead star Ross Marquand, who plays the beloved Aaron on the show, sat down with ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis to talk about the upcoming reveal, and how fans in Hall H will react to it this year.

When asked if they can outdo season 7, Marquand said "(nods his head) I think, I mean, for as cool as the Tiger is, we all love Shiva, but I think what we've got to show here in season 8 is going to trump everything that we've ever done on the show by far."

How on earth do you top a tiger? Many fans are curious, and hopefully, AMC will deliver when they reveal the season 8 trailer later this year.

The upcoming season will revolve around the fan favorite "All Out War" story arc seen in the comics, as Alexandria, The Hilltop, and The Kingdom all come together to fight off Negan and his Saviors army.

While she might not steal the show in the season 8 trailer, it is probably safe to assume that Shiva will still have plenty to say in the new season.

Ross Marquand will be appearing this weekend at Walker Stalker Con in Nashville, TN, while the season 8 trailer of The Walking Dead will premiere at San Diego Comic-Con this July.

The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier), Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene), Alanna Masterson (Tara Chambler), Josh McDermitt (Dr. Eugene Porter), Christian Serratos (Rosita Espinosa), Seth Gilliam (Father Gabriel Stokes), Ross Marquand (Aaron), Lennie James (Morgon Jones), Austin Amelio (Dwight), Tom Payne (Paul 'Jesus' Rovia), Katelyn Nacon (Enid), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), and Steven Ogg (Simon), and Karl Makinen (Richard).

Fear the Walking Dead returns for its third season on June 4 at 9 pm ET on AMC. The Walking Dead will return for its eighth season in October of 2017. The first trailer is expected to arrive at San Diego Comic-Con in July.
