The Walking Dead: Is Rosita Going To Kill Negan?

11/13/2016 10:24 pm EST

Spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 4 follow.

Negan may very well be the reason for his own downfall.

During Negan's inaugural trip to Alexandria, the villain exerted his power on Rick Grimes and the rest of the community by making crude jokes and harrassing everyone in sight (or allowing his Saviors to do it for him). The menacing leatherclad baddie never took anything seriously, including popping off a gun just for fun.

At one point, Negan retrieves one of the Saviors' guns from the Alexandria armory and mocks Rick by testing it out. It works. He shoots a hole in a window and leaves a shell casing on the streets of Alexandria.

Crafty soldier Rosita Espinosa found that shell casing and has big plans for it. To wrap up the extended episode, she marched to Eugene's door and presented him with the casing, requesting he manufacture bullets for her. Clearly, she has her heart set on revenge for her fallen ex-boyfriend.

As for what her plans are, Rosita actress Christian Serratos is keeping the details a secret for now.

"That's what's so fun about the end of the episode is that it leaves it up to interpretation," Serratos said. "I'm a huge fan of the show and I watch it, and I immediately think she's going to go after Negan. She wants to get the kingpin. She wants to get the guy that killed her family, but who knows. It's going to be really fun these next few episodes of seeing who this bullet is meant for."

The bullet, which will likely become one of many, could turn out to be Negan's biggest mistake.

In The Walking Dead comics, Eugene begins manufacturing ammunition for not only Alexandria, but also the Hilltop and Kingdom. All three of the communities come together to take on the Saviors and bring the fight to Negan's doorstep -- fully loaded guns and all.

We will have to wait and see if the forgotten shell casing proves to be Negan's downfall but his reign won't last forever.
