The Walking Dead: What Were Negan And Fat Joey Doing With The Herd?

WARNING: This article contains MAJOR SPOILERS for the latest episode of The Walking Dead - 'Rock In The Road'!

Finally, in tonight's episode of The Walking Dead, fans learned the true worth of the dearly-departed Fat Jospeh.

As Negan got on the radio, he offered his condolences to Fat Joey. He then explained that the redirect project would now have some hiccups, proving true the theories that many fans had after the midseason finale.

Fat Joey had been using the explosives that the Saviors had taken from various communities, and was using them to route a course for the nearby herd.

Joey led teams of Saviors across the city, plotted a course with trip-wires, and began to lead the enormous herd away from the communities.

As we saw tonight, they were keeping the walkers mostly on the interstate. Fans also got a glimpse of just how big this herd is, and how much damage they could do on the communities.

With Fat Joey dead, and Rick taking apart the explosives, the herd could be ready to take out Alexandria soon. However, Rick's comment that he may use the herd, means that something even more brutal could be in store.
