The Walking Dead Celebrates May 4th With An Epic Mash-Up Photo

05/04/2017 06:50 pm EDT

Killing the undead is basically the same as rallying the rebellion to take down Darth Vader and The Empire, right? Well, even if it isn't, even the characters on The Walking Dead can get behind a little space action on Star Wars day.

Fans celebrate the Star Wars franchise on May 4th, strictly because you can turn the date into, "May the Fourth be with you." This year, folks from everyone's favorite zombie series got in on the action.

The official Walking Dead Twitter account posted an awesome image of a few fan-favorite characters in the promo photos from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Daryl has taken the role of Han Solo, Maggie looks like Leia, Sasha posed like Rey, and Michonne goes full bad-ass in her take on Kylo Ren. Take a look!

It wasn't just the Walking Dead account that decided to celebrate the day. Khary Payton, who portrays Ezekiel, had a little fun of his own. The actor posted a picture of his character from the season finale, but he had a lightsaber instead of his traditional cane.

So, when are we going to get an official Walking Dead holiday? That should happen soon, right?
