Today, The Walking Dead fandom is uniting to send their well-wishes to one of their own right now. According to a new report by The Hollywood Reporter, one of the show's stuntmen was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday after suffering a serious head injury whilst filming.

John Bernecker, a vetted stuntman in the industry, was taken to Atlanta Medical Center on Wednesday after he fell more than 20 feet onto a concrete floor. The incident happened on The Walking Dead's set down in Georgia, and Bernecker was Medevaced to the hospital where he is being treated in the intensive care unit

Over on Facebook, Bernecker's partner Jennifer Cocker shared a short statement about her boyfriend's status. "John deserves to be seen by every neorusurgeon [sic] and doctor there is until one of them sees the life we all know he has in him and bring him back to us... THIS ISNT FAIR," she wrote.

Born in New Orleans, Bernecker is believed to be in his early 30s. The stuntman has a lengthy resume with various film and television projects. His IMDb page lists over 100 credits dating all the way back to 2009. Aside from The Walking Dead, Bernecker has worked on projects like 24: Legacy, The Fate of the Furious, The Hunger Games franchise, and more.

This is not the only tragedy which has happened within the 'Walking Dead' universe as of late. Earlier this month, fans learned the voice artist for Fear the Walking Dead passed away after a skydiving jump went wrong. Randy Schell died after an incident with Houston's Skydive Spaceland went wrong. The artist made a jump and deployed his parachute as normal, but Schell was critically injured when he collided with another skydiver mid-jump.
