Chicago Cubs Star Kris Bryant Wears WWE Belt to World Series Victory Party

The Cubs recently made history by defeating the Cleaveland Indians in the world series, not only bringing them a championship banner but ending a championship drought that has hung over the franchise since 1908. It makes sense then that the team would celebrate, and Cubs superstar Kris Bryant did so with a familiar belt hanging over his shoulder, though one you wouldn't necessarily expect to show up on the baseball field.

The scale of the event was recognized by fans all over the world, including the WWE, who customized a World Heavyweight Championship Belt for the Cubs in honor of their historic win. It features two customized Chicago Cubs logo plates, and it seems the team appreciated the gesture because at the celebration ceremony Bryant was seen wearing the newly minted belt on his waist. Later on, he was seen with the belt over his shoulder, the most popular way to wear it as WWE superstars make their way down to the ring.

This win has been a long time coming, and for Bryant to catch the last ball was something he'll always remember, as he told ESPN after the game.

"Ah man, it's something you dream of. I mean I, seeing the ball coming to me I mean a slow roller, you know with the fast runner I knew I had to get rid of it quickly, and then of course I slip and you know, my foot gives way, but it kind of just seems like things were going our way this year and this was the year, and I feel so fortunate to be a Chicago Cub right now."

If the Cubs win again next year, Triple H is going to have to up his game. Maybe he'll get the Cubs their own WWE manager, or maybe he'll just have Paul Heyman announce them as they leave the dugout. "My Client, Krrrriiisss Bryanttttt!".

Hey, it could happen.
