WWE: Paige And Alberto Del Rio Share Their Thoughts On Linda McMahon

12/09/2016 09:15 pm EST

Many were shocked to see WWE's Linda McMahon nominated for a place in President Elect Donal Trump's administration, though it really shouldn't be that shocking. Both Linda and Vince McMahon have supported Trump in the past, and he does currently hold a place in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Reactions have run the gamut, but in regards to the WWE and those affiliated with it in some way, reactions have been mostly positive. That includes Alberto Del Rio and Paige, who have been traveling a great deal in recent weeks. TMZ caught up with the couple and asked what they thought of Trump nominating McMahon for the position (via SEScoops).

Paige gleefully said "My opinion. Incredible!", but Del Rio said "You want to know my real opinion about Donald Trump?" and then gave two middle finger salutes. Before he said anymore, Del Rio joked about Paige still being with the WWE and said: "Get out of here baby." Paige said "I love you Vince!" with Del Rio adding "She loves you, Vince, I love you, Vince, I just don't like Donald."

Regarding her nomination, he said "All I can say is anything is possible. If he and she can do a good job once they're there, I don't know, to be honest, I don't think so."

While he is unsure about the coming administration, he would be much more optimistic for a Vince McMahon presidency, saying I think he'd do a good job because at least he's smart". Paige was also enthusiastic about a Vince for president campaign, saying "I would love for Vince to be President.

Paige's 60-day suspension ends soon, and she is on her way to recovering from her recent neck surgery, so hopefully fans will see her back in a WWE ring sooner rather than later.
