This Superstar Could've Been Part Of The Wyatt Family

After a long trek up the mountain, Bray Wyatt finally got his hands on the WWE Heavyweight Championship on Sunday's Elimination Chamber. His newest follower Randy Orton also did quite well at the event, but at one time the team's makeup could have included another prominent Smackdown Live superstar.

In a recent interview with Solo Wrestling (via WrestleZone), Lucha Underground star Vibora, who previously worked in NXT under the name Judas Devlin, recalled that at one point he was considered for a role in the Wyatt Family. He also mentions the name of another current Smackdown Live superstar, who was also being considered before Brawn Strowman eventually ended up in the part.

"It was definitely an idea, I mean, I actually did a few promos with Bray Wyatt in front of the camera with Dusty (Rhodes). They tried a few people, Baron Corbin kinda tried out for it as well. Ultimately, I think I could got that spot, but then I get injured, that was a thing. They were like 'ok, we´re looking at Judas (Devlin), he may be the guy who fits in', thats when I started to have my hip issues and I needed surgery, so that kinda squash the idea. I didn't recovery as quick as they wanted, they wanted to do it anyway and that was when Braun (Strowman) came in there, and he was very new, but they hold up until he was ready. So I really never have the full opportunity to try out and I would have love to do it because it kinda fits the name Judas with the concept"

Even Corbin's current look would fit well within the Wyatt's theme, though he's made a substantial impact on the current roster on his own. Granted, being a part of that doesn't necessarily guarantee success, as Erik Rowan and Luke Harper have floundered from time to time throughout their runs.
